John Aldridge has criticised Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in The Sunday World.
The former Liverpool star believes that Tottenham and England international striker Kane can be “a little devious” when it comes to winning penalties.
However, Aldridge has added that all strikers tend to do what Kane does in order to gain an advantage.
Aldridge wrote about Kane in The Sunday World: “I’ve been critical of Kane in the past as he can be a little devious when it comes to winning penalties and tumbling around the box under minimal pressure, but all strikers do that to an extent.
“When a goalkeeper was stupid enough to rush at me in the box, I would let him clatter into me and take the penalty and Kane is good at buying himself decisions in key areas.
“Defenders and keepers lose their cool in the heat of battle and good strikers understand how to take advantage of their naivety, with Kane a master of the ‘art’.”

Harry Kane doesn’t do anything wrong
Kane does not dive. You cannot accuse him of doing that.
Yes, the England international striker can draw a foul from an opposition player, but that is it.
Defenders should know how to handle a clever striker such as Kane inside the penalty box.
Kane is a very intelligent footballer who knows how to get the better of opposition defenders.
However, there have been criticisms of him backing into players who are trying to win headers.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara hammered Kane for that this past season, as we covered here on HITC Sport.
One thing about Kane is clear.
The Tottenham star is one of the best strikers on the planet and will be a big player for England at the Euro 2020 finals.
Don’t be surprised if Kane ends up as the top scorer in the European Championship.
