The Athletic are reporting that Joe Willock could leave Arsenal for Newcastle United inside the next five days.
What’s the story?
It is being reported that Willock’s future could be resolved before Arsenal fly out to the USA next week.
The Gunners will fly to Orlando on July 21, as stated on the club’s official website.
This means that Willock could join Newcastle inside the next five days.
Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing the 21-year-old midfielder.
Arsenal want £20 million as transfer fee for Willock, but a loan deal could be possible.
Back to Newcastle United?
If Arsenal are ready to part company with Willock, then a return to Newcastle would make sense.
After all, the 21-year-old did well for Steve Bruce’s side during his loan spell in the second half of last season.
The English midfielder scored eight goals in 11 Premier League starts to help Newcastle stave off the dreaded drop to the Championship.

Described as “an amazing player” by Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin on Stadium Astro in May 2021, Willock flourished at St. James’ Park and a return could work out for all three parties.
Newcastle fans adore Willock, and the St. James’ Park faithful would love to have the youngster back at the club.
