Allan Saint-Maximin has raved about his Newcastle United teammate Joe Willock on Stadium Astro.
The Newcastle winger has said that Willock, signed on loan from Arsenal in the January transfer window, is an amazing player.
The 24-year-old has outlined the attributes of Willock, and has said that Newcastle need more players like him to finish in the Premier League top 10.
Saint-Maximin told Stadium Astro about Willock: “He is an amazing player. He runs fast, he can score goals, his technique, he has got good ability.
“For me, he is a really, really good player. We need more players like him, I think, if we want to be in the top 10.”
Willock has been brilliant for Newcastle since his loan switch from Arsenal.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been a key figure in the Magpies’ avoiding the drop to the Championship.
The youngster has been a dynamic presence in midfield and has scored important goals.
Willock has scored seven goals in 13 Premier League matches for Newcastle.
The midfielder is scheduled to return to his parent club Arsenal after this weekend’s game.
Newcastle should do their utmost to bring Willock back to St. James’ Park for next season.
It will be interesting to see what Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s plans are for Willock.
If the youngster will not be able to play week in and week out at the Gunners, then a move back to Newcastle on loan for next season would make sense.
