Micah Richards has shared in The Daily Mail what Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart told him about Dele Alli’s attitude in training at Tottenham Hotspur.

Alli joined Everton from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the January transfer window.

Sky Sports have reported that Everton could eventually have to pay Tottenham £40 million in transfer fee for Alli.

Former Manchester City right-back Richards, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports and BBC Sport, has shared what he has heard about Alli’s personality in training from Hart.

English goalkeeper Hart was a teammate of Alli at Tottenham before he moved to Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the summer of 2021.

Richards wrote about Alli in The Daily Mail: “It has been suggested that has lost his love for football and stopped trying but that doesn’t fit with the things I’ve heard.

“I believe he has worked hard in training and looked to learn from those around him. Joe Hart told me in an interview last summer that his attitude couldn’t be faulted.”

Dele Alli could flourish away from Tottenham Hotspur

In our view, Alli could be a success at Everton and flourish away from Tottenham.

The 25-year-old midfielder has not been at his best for two or so years.

In our opinion, Alli needed to change clubs, and now that he has done just that.

Everton have Frank Lampard as their manager, and we know what a great midfielder the former Chelsea and England international was.

We think that if Alli trains well and follows Lampard’s instructions, then he could go back to his goalscoring best.
