Jack Wilshere has said on talkSPORT (5:53pm, February 4, 2022) that Dele Alli is a top player, following Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte’s decision to offload him to Everton.

Alli joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Everton on the final day of the January transfer window.

Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham could eventually be paid £40 million for the 25-year-old England international midfielder.

Former Arsenal midfielder Wilshere has praised Alli, and believes that he is a top player.

Wilshere said about Alli on talkSPORT (5:53pm, February 4, 2022): “For him, yeah, brilliant (move).”

The former Arsenal star added: “I played with him. Top, top player. He has got everything. He can run behind, he is good on the ball, now he has got Frank Lampard.”

Dele Alli needed to leave Tottenham for Everton

In our view, Alli needed to leave Tottenham, and we think that the midfielder will flourish at Everton.

Jose Mourinho, Nuno and Conte could not get the best out of Alli, and, in our opinion, he needed a change of environment.

Everton have a new manager in charge, Frank Lampard, and under the former Chelsea and England international midfielder, Alli could get back to his best.

Now, of course, Alli himself will have to work hard and hit the ground running.

Everton could get sucked into a Premier League relegation battle, and Alli will have to get stuck in.

Just like he used to at MK Dons and in the first three or so seasons at Tottenham.
