Scott McKenna is one of the best young defenders in Scotland, and there is no surprise that Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, Celtic and Aston Villa have been linked with the Aberdeen star.
Si Ferry of Open Goal recently claimed on his show that Rangers will try to sign McKenna from Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).
The Sun (Transfer Live blog, 5:05pm, Thursday, January 31, 2019) claimed that Celtic and Hull City wanted to sign the 22-year-old in the January transfer window, while The Birmingham Mail credited Villa with interest in the 22-year-old (click here to read more).
McKenna is one of the best young defenders in Scotland, and it is very likely that Aberdeen will get offers for the Scotland international in the summer transfer window.
Preston North End striker Jayden Stockley played with McKenna at Aberdeen, and the 25-year-old former Exeter City man has spoken highly of the youngster, and believes that he can get to the top.

Stockley told The Scottish Sun about McKenna: “Scott is playing under the best manager to improve him. When I was there he was out on loan but he is a good kid.
“You could see he had everything you want in a centre-half — he has the power, pace and he is such a solid defender.
“He can go to the top of the game but I hope he achieves something at Aberdeen before he goes.”
