Jason McAteer praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko on BBC One on Sunday (5:56pm, January 10, 2021) for his performance against Marine.

The former Liverpool midfielder, who was working for BBC Sport for the match, was impressed by the performance of Sissoko during Tottenham’s 5-0 win against Marine away from home in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday evening.

McAteer also praised England international midfielder Dele Alli for his display in the first half of the tie.

Sissoko started the match for Spurs, but the French midfielder was taken off at half time for Alfie Devine.

McAteer said about Alli on BBC One on Sunday (5:56pm, January 10, 2021): “For me, the story has been about the quality of Dele Alli, who just came alive after the 23rd minute.

“He dictated the tempo of the play, his quality, he was just sensational in the first half. Vinicius obviously will get the headlines for scoring the hat-trick, but it’s all down to Dele Alli for me.”

The BBC pundit added about Sissoko: “Sissoko has done fantastic in the middle of the park, won second balls, won tackles, kept them ticking over.”
