Daniel Levy has been urged to get a number of transfer deals over the line for Tottenham Hotspur.
Ange Postecoglou has done his job so far. He was brought in at Tottenham to progress the club and change the style of play.
That sleep-walking style of football is out of the window and Spurs are now playing some of the best football in the Premier League, and all without Harry Kane.
European football will be returning next season, so Postecoglou is going to need a lot more depth in quality because, as Jamie O’Hara touched upon, ‘the squad players aren’t good enough’.
Tottenham have been tipped to sign many players ahead of the 2024 summer transfer window re-opening, including Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.
The Chelsea midfielder is off to Euro 2024 and you wonder how much of a role that will play in how much players cost, and if their transfer prices get inflated, if they perform well.
O’Hara wants Gallagher at Hotspur Way and he stated that his proven quality in the Premier League is one reason behind that, as he told Sky Sports.
Gallagher’s aggression, with and without the ball. His ability to score goals from midfield and play various roles certainly ticks the boxes for the north London club.
But O’Hara also wants Eberechi Eze in Tottenham colours, with the Crystal Palace superstar a much-wanted man this summer.
Eze has also been picked to go to Euro 2024, with James Maddison being axed by England, and probably because of the Palace man.

“We have to try and win a trophy,” said O’Hara. “Ange has come in, if you said at the start of the season, you have lost Harry Kane and you are going to finish fifth, we would have snapped your hand off for that.
“I think the football that we played was exciting. Everyone loved it. Yes, we dropped off and killed ourselves for a month when we didn’t win any games. That really put the back four out of question for us. I think next season, I am excited for Spurs.
“Daniel Levy needs to sign some decent players. We know that. The squad players aren’t good enough. You need to keep trying to shift them aside. I think Ange is trying to do that. We have some exciting young players coming through. If we can add some top players. I think we should try to get Eze. Try and get Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. Players who are doing it in the Premier League. if you add them to the squad, then top four and try to win a trophy. I am excited with Ange. I like him and I like his mentality – but Levy needs to put his hand in his pocket.”

Postecoglou has some big calls to make, in regards to what he does with his midfield and how ruthless he is in letting people go.
Someone like Rodrigo Bentancur is one of Tottenham’s best players on paper. But he returned from a long-term injury in November, suffered a setback and had no consistency in his game.

Fans know what he can produce. But will Postecoglou take a no-nonsense approach and just let him go?
The same with Yves Bissouma, who improved on what he produced under Antonio Conte, but ended the season poorly.
Players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg might speak for themselves when it comes to leaving, but Spurs can’t exactly afford to overfill the squad without players going out the other way.
