Jamie Carragher thinks Fabio Paratici is Daniel Levy’s ‘biggest mistake’ at Tottenham Hotspur following the sacking of Antonio Conte.
The Liverpool legend stated that Tottenham are in a ‘mess’, with no manager in the dugout and their sporting director, Fabio Paratici, banned by FIFA for alleged financial mismanagement at Juventus – it’s claimed that before Paratici was brought in by Spurs that Levy was warned.
Added to all of that, Harry Kane’s future is also up in the air ahead of the summer transfer window, with Manchester United lurking in the background.

What is also worrying for someone like Daniel Levy is what kind of effect this Paratici situation is having on those outside of Tottenham’s walls.
With Spurs looking for a new long-term manager for the summer, it has been suggested that certain candidates, such as Luis Enrique, might be ruled out because of Paratici’s ban.
All in all, with pressure already on Levy by the Spurs supporters, this is only cranking up that pressure and Carragher thinks the ‘biggest’ issue is still employed by the club, as he told Sky Sports.
“Tottenham weren’t going to get rid of Antonio Conte before he did that press conference,” said Carragher. “You should always be prepared that something might happen, especially with a Conte.
“You are talking about the sporting director. That’s a guy called Paratici, who actually, would you believe it, did an interview on the back of Conte going saying ‘This is the right thing to do and we don’t want mixed messages’.
“When you talk about the mistakes of Daniel Levy. We defended him in that first hour. The biggest mistake is what has happened with Paratici, so it’s a mess. You have to level that at Daniel Levy’s door (now Paratici is also suspended).”

TOTTENHAM ARE AT A CROSSROADS
A lack of long-term planning and abject decision-making has led Tottenham to this road, where they are now caught between either going forward again or well and truly going backwards.
There is every chance, especially if Kane leaves, that Spurs stumble.
Without the England striker’s 22 Premier League goals this season, this team would probably be where Chelsea currently find themselves and that’s sitting in the Premier League’s bottom half.
