Rice and Maddison to secure summer transfers?

The duo might be with England right now, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they will be talking with their agents, and even amongst themselves, about possible moves.

Talk is growing strong that Rice’s move to Arsenal is a ‘done deal’, with Mikel Arteta keen to bolster his midfield ahead of a return to the Champions League.

Whilst the Guardian claim that the Gunners are closing in on a £100 million deal for the hard-hitting midfielder, who came through Chelsea’s academy as a youngster, before signing for West Ham as a teenager.

Another player that is expected to move is James Maddison, who might just become Rice’s domestic rival next season, with Tottenham keen on his talents.

Whilst the goalscoring midfielder could rock up in the north London derby next season, there is also every chance he is playing Champions League football also.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have been long-term admirers of the player and it has now been suggested that they are ‘leading the race’ for his signature.
