Jake Paul has urged fans to boycott Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show, calling the performer a “fake American” and encouraging viewers to turn off the broadcast.

The social media personality and boxer made the comments on X in the hours leading up to the Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium.

Bad Bunny is scheduled to headline the halftime show during the NFL championship game.

Jake Paul calls for Super Bowl halftime boycott

Jake Paul posted a message encouraging fans to “purposefully turn off the halftime show” when Bad Bunny takes the stage.

In the post, Paul described the artist as a “fake American citizen” and said he could not support the performance.

Paul also told followers that viewers hold power through ratings and viewership. The message was shared publicly on X and circulated shortly before kickoff.

Comments add to halftime show controversy

Bad Bunny’s selection as the Super Bowl LX halftime performer has generated debate in the build-up to the game.

The artist has previously drawn attention for public political statements, including comments about Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Paul’s post added another layer to the discussion surrounding the halftime show. The performance will go ahead as scheduled despite the calls for a boycott.
