Jack Wilshere is reportedly set to join Danish Superliga side Aarhus Gymnastikforening (AGF) on a short-term deal, with a medical already completed.
According to the Aarhus Stiftstidende, the midfielder, who has been training with Arsenal over the past few months, has agreed to join the seventh-place club until the end of the season.
As per the report, Wilshere has already passed a medical with AGF and will wear the no. 10 for the Danish club. Dave Reddington, a former Premier League coach currently with the Superliga side, was key to getting the deal over the line.
Wilshere has been at Arsenal for some months working on his fitness and trying to secure a move to a new club after becoming a free agent at the end of last season.
Despite impressing for AFC Bournemouth, no club has been willing to take a chance on Wilshere, however, AGF now look set to sign the 30-year-old midfielder for the remainder of the season.
The Aarhus-based club are set to avoid the drop despite their position in the table, with the signing of Wilshere likely to spurs AGF on to a late-season push with just four games remaining of the regular campaign.
Wilshere can flourish at AGF after months of training with Arsenal

Denmark would have been a left-field suggestion for where Wilshere would end up, yet given the standard of living in the country and the wide use of English, AGF could be perfect for the Arsenal cult hero to restart his career.
It might not be a dream top-flight move Wilshere would have predicted when he was made a free agent in the summer, but AGF could be ideal for the 30-year-old to find his feet again in football and to return to the form that made the midfielder one of the most enjoyable to watch in the Premier League.
