Jack Grealish is set to miss the rest of the season, adding to what has already been a difficult spell for him at Everton.
The winger recently had surgery after suffering a stress fracture in his foot, forcing Everton to bring in Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea right at the end of the January window.
George’s deal includes an option for Everton to buy him outright, but there are also rumours swirling about Grealish possibly joining the club permanently. Financial analyst Stefan Borson believes another loan is not likely.
But it remains unclear if Everton and Manchester City can settle on a transfer fee. The current agreement includes a £50m buy option, which does not look like it will be taken up.
And now, there could be more problems brewing for Grealish after a recent announcement from the FA.
Jack Grealish’s England prospects take another hit

Even though he has had a good spell at Everton, with eight goal involvements in the Premier League, Thomas Tuchel has not selected him for any of his England squads.
Grealish offers a different profile to the current left-sided options like Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford, bringing more playmaking ability and control on the ball. But that has not been enough to convince Tuchel so far.
There was hope Grealish might get a look-in after the World Cup, with Tuchel’s contract due to expire.
But with the FA announcing that Tuchel has extended his deal until 2028, it is starting to look like Grealish may not get another chance with the national team.
Jack Grealish says he is not worried about missing out on England
Grealish has previously said that he is not too worried about another call-up to the England squad.
In October, he stated: “You know what? I don’t think it’s as deep as everyone says.
“At the end of the day, you want to play for the national team but people are doing well in my position. I’m doing well also, but the people picked last month did really well in the two games so that’s fine with me.
“That’s the manager’s decision and I fully respect that.”
Grealish seems much more focused on securing a permanent move back to Everton this summer, where he appears settled and happy.
The 30-year-old enjoys a strong relationship with David Moyes, which has clearly helped him settle into life on Merseyside.
