The Spurs number two impressed in Saturday’s hard-fought draw.
Tottenham’s Michel Vorm
Spurs goalkeeper Michel Vorm has shed light on the difficulties of Saturday’s draw with Liverpool, in quotes published by the Ham & High.
The 32-year old had to be on high alert to halt the advances of a rampant Reds side and made several critical dashes off his line to prevent goalscoring opportunities.
“I think I made the most miles ever in a game!” said Vorm. “You practise to be ready for the balls behind. Obviously I don’t practise tackling but it can happen.

“Players like Mane, they’re so quick. He’s so quick and I’m quick. The only thing for me was I was thinking ‘I have to make a block tackle’ and it worked out well.
“It was quite funny. You expect something because we know they can play that way, with the balls in behind – with their speed up front and us playing a high line – but we did very well. I want to see how much I ran because in my opinion I’ve never been this tired after a game,” he added.
The Dutchman has been superb since he was thrust into a starting role after the injury to Hugo Lloris in the opening day draw with Everton.

He has two clean sheets in his three appearances, with James Milner’s penalty the only goal he has conceded, and has made a handful of fantastic one-on-one saves.
Vorm faces an uncertain future however, with Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez expected to arrive before the close of the window.

Spurs are set for a busy end to the window and there are expected to be plenty of comings and goings over the next three days.
West Brom look to have completed the capture of Nacer Chadli, Ryan Mason appears Hull City bound and Wolfsburg have launched a £25.6 million bid for Heung-Min Son, according to Bild.
The deal for Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is expected to go through after a drawn out saga, while the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Isco are also believed to on Mauricio Pochettino’s radar.
