Hull City have agreed a fee for Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason, according to Sky Sports sources.

The 25-year old has found himself tumbling down the pecking order at White Hart Lane after enjoying a spell as first-choice in Mauricio Pochettino’s debut season in charge.
Eric Dier’s conversion to holding midfielder, Moussa Dembele’s resurgence in form and Victor Wanyama’s arrival mean it’s unlikely Mason will see much game time should he remain at Spurs this season.

Youngster Harry Winks impressed over pre-season and has arguably jumped ahead of Mason; relegating the England-capped midfielder to fifth choice option.
Spurs have been proactive in moving on players who are deemed surplus to requirements, with Nabil Bentaleb, Alex Pritchard, Federico Fazio and DeAndre Yedlin all departing thus far.

Mason looks like being the next to leave and he may be joined by Nacer Chadli, with recent reports by the likes of The Sun claiming that the Belgian could be used as a makeweight in a deal for Wilfried Zaha.
Spurs have added just Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama to their squad this summer and with the substantial number of departures, they must be cautious not to leave the squad lacking in depth.
