Rakitic made the comments about Eriksen ahead of World Cup last-16 tie between Croatia and Denmark on Sunday evening.
While the Barcelona ace will turn out for Croatia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod, the Tottenham attacking midfielder will play for Denmark.

Ahead of the game, the 30-year-old midfielder has spoken highly of 26-year-old Eriksen, who has been on the books of Tottenham since the summer of 2013 when he joined from Ajax for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £11.5 million.

FourFourTwo quotes Rakitic as saying about Denmark: “They are very compact, they know how to stop their opponents.
“They allow few chances to score for the opposing team and they can be very dangerous on the attack. And they have Christian Eriksen, who is one of the best playmakers in Europe and the world.”

Eriksen is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world, and the Tottenham midfielder will be an important player for Denmark against Croatia in their World Cup last-16 tie.
