Under Fabio Paratici, Tottenham Hotspur look set to enjoy their best summer transfer window for a long time.
Spurs are on the verge of sealing a £25 million transfer of Yves Bissouma, who is about to join from Brighton & Hove Albion.
If and when Bissouma is confirmed, the Mali international will be Tottenham’s third signing of what’s shaping up to be a very exciting window.
Paratici is the Lilywhites’ transfer guru and, working in conjunction with manager Antonio Conte, the North Londoners look like they might have all their business done well before they usually have done.
Bissouma will follow Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic to the club and there’s likely to be more additions.
At least, that’s the view of Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who reiterated in the early hours that Tottenham are on track to sign the 25-year-old and said the club are ‘absolutely not’ finished in this window by any means.
Alasdair Gold, who exclusively covers Spurs for Football London, revealed that Bissouma had actually slept at the club’s Hotspur Way training ground on Wednesday night, illustrating how close this one is to being finalised.
The Lilywhites are still reportedly interested in signing a striker but one target, Gabriel Jesus, looks to be out of reach.
That’s because the Manchester City hitman is reportedly on the brink of joining Arsenal, their North London rivals.
However, there’s plenty more fish in the sea for Paratici and if Romano is right, there’s a lot more excitement to come yet.
