Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has shared how he really feels about Ryan Sessegnon.

Sessegnon has had bad injury problems for a while and will not play again for Spurs this season.

So, what has Ange Postecoglou said about Tottenham Hotspur player Ryan Sessegnon? Let’s take a look.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou comments on Ryan Sessegnon

Well, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has been speaking about Ryan Sessegnon, and the former Celtic manager feels really sorry for the player.

Postecoglou has noted that it is tough for Sessegnon to have more setbacks in his quest to regain full fitness and has said that the 23-year-old, who can play as a left-back, left winger or left wing-back, will have the full support of the club.

As reported by Football.London, Sessegnon, who was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2023, will not play again this season.

Postecoglou told Football.London about Sessegnon: “With Sess it is a tough one. Through no fault of his own he’s worked hard to try to come back and it’s always more challenging when it happens as a series of events and he hasn’t really had any reward in terms of the hard work he’s put in for his rehab to really get out there and play and do what he loves. And just show people his ability.

“It’s a tough one for him but he’ll get all the support he needs. He’s had his surgery now and he’s still a positive guy. He’s obviously been through this before so hopefully that helps him come back strong and get out there and play.”

My View: Tottenham Hotspur fans should have faith in Ryan Sessegnon

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur fans should not give up on Ryan Sessegnon just yet. I understand that the £25 million (BBC Sport) left-sided player has had injury problems, but he cannot help it.

Sessegnon is a very good player when he is fit and in form. We saw that when the 23-year-old was at Fulham.

True, the former England Under-21 international left-back has not progressed a lot since then, but we must not forget that he is only 23 now. Sessegnon is still a very young player.

Sessegnon has made 73 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored four goals, given eight assists and kept six clean sheets.
