Klay Thompson has recently discussed whether he would be interested in returning to the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors drafted Thompson with the 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and he spent the next 13 years in the Bay Area.
The shooting guard formed one of the best backcourts in NBA history alongside Stephen Curry and won four championships.
However, after an underwhelming 2023/24 season in Golden State, Thompson left the Warriors in free agency.
He signed a three-year, $50 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, and he is now entering his final season.
Assuming that Thompson does not retire next summer, he could make an emotional return to the Warriors for one last dance.

Klay Thompson responds when asked about a potential Warriors reunion
Although he did not leave on bad terms, there was some friction between Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors.
Thompson struggled to accept a lesser role on the team, which involved taking fewer shots and even coming off the bench.
The shooting guard rejected a more lucrative offer from the Warriors to start a new chapter with the Dallas Mavericks.
However, Thompson will always be remembered as a Warriors legend, and it would be great to see him reunite with Stephen Curry.
A fan recently asked the 36-year-old whether he would return to the Warriors, and his answer sent a clear message.
“Shoot, I don’t know. I got one year on my deal. It’d be nice to end it in Golden State,” Thompson responded.
His response suggests that he would like to play at least one more season for the Warriors before he hangs up his sneakers.
