Leeds United fans have claimed on Twitter that they would like to see Jack Grealish stay at Aston Villa.

The Mirror have reported that Manchester City are banking on Grealish telling Villa during Monday’s showdown talks that he wants to move to the Etihad this summer.

Both Villa and Leeds have boyhood fans – Grealish and Kalvin Phillips – donning their colours.

It has been pretty remarkable how both of their careers have risen over the years, including both leading their side to promotion to the Premier League and providing hope that they can relive their glory days.

But with rumours rife that Villa may now have to part ways with their best player, it has raised the question as to what it would make of the Premier League and the competitiveness.

Pep Guardiola guided Manchester City to the Premier League title, with relative ease, last season and to their first-ever European Cup final.

But it wasn’t enough for those at the Etihad, as they seemingly want Grealish and Harry Kane – some of the best players in the league – on their books for next season.

And it seems as though Leeds, who built a little rivalry with Villa during their days in the Championship, want Grealish staying put in B6 and playing for his boyhood club.

There perhaps could be the fear from the Whites fans that Phillips might be put in a similar scenario in a few years time if Grealish is sold because it might just be a domino effect.

Either way, this is D-day for those at Villa because it seems as though they will find out the future intentions of their star man.

Here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to the Grealish rumours:
