Arsenal’s pursuit of Aaron Ramsdale took another big twist on Tuesday afternoon.
The Sheffield United goalkeeper has been linked with a move to North London for a lot of the summer – and the player reportedly wants to go.
But it was reported earlier in August that Arsenal were now looking at alternative targets due to the Blades’ £30 million price.
However, Football London reported yesterday that the transfer is now on again and a £20 million move looks in the reckoning.
The sooner this is done, the better for all parties and even Sheffield United fans think it’s now going to be completed.

Nous
Arsenal fans will probably feel a lot better about this, too.
The previous reluctance from the fanbase was based on the assumption that Edu and Mikel Arteta were paying £30 million which, for a relegated goalkeeper, is very high.
And although £20 million remains relatively steep, it’s clearly a better deal and at least shows some nous on Arsenal’s part.
