According to Football London, Arsenal have reopened talks with Sheffield United over a deal for Aaron Ramsdale, with deadline day approaching.
What’s the story?
Well, it was said that Arsenal had pulled out of negotiations with the Blades as they held firm on their £30m asking price.
However, Slavisa Jokanovic’s side are keen to recoup a transfer fee for Ramsdale, and now seem willing to lower their demands.
Football London reveal that Sheffield United and Arsenal are likely to agree on a £20m deal, with add-ons to increase the total fee.
It means Edu has been rewarded for his decision to walk away from initial talks, with Sheffield United now keen to get things moving again.
They paid £18.5m for Ramsdale back in August, and are seemingly hoping to make a slight profit.
Panic time for Bernd Leno?

As Jokanovic revealed earlier, Ramsdale is desperate to join Arsenal.
The Gunners had already seen two bids rejected for the 23-year-old, but it now seems as if they’re nearing an agreement.
On this note, once Arsenal and Sheffield United can find common ground regarding a fee, the transfer should speed up at the personal terms stage.
In our view, Bernd Leno should now be worried.

The German has been far from convincing in between the sticks, and has also expressed a desire to leave the Emirates Stadium.
As a result, it would be baffling if Mikel Arteta opted to hand the 29-year-old more game time ahead of a bright, young prospect who actually wants to play for Arsenal.
Leno, your time as Arsenal’s No.1 could be over very, very soon.
