Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been discussing some of his observations from the Tottenham press box at the weekend.
The journalist was, as ever, observing every single thing Spurs did before, during and after the game during his coverage, and he noticed something interesting about Richarlison.
The Brazilian, of course, has been out injured for quite some time and missing from the Spurs team, but Gold noticed that the attacker looked as though he’d been doing some fitness work at the weekend.
Indeed, Gold noted that Richarlison was dressed in athletic attire while watching the warm-up from the touchlines, hinting that he’d been in the private gym at Spurs’ stadium that day.

Richarlison getting closer
Gold shared his observation about the Brazilian.
“Richarlison looks to be quite close. Richarlison was down on the sideline before the game in like a warm-up kit, albeit with socks and trainers on. It looked like he’d been doing something. The players have a gym area in the stadium where they’ll do warm-ups, so whether he’s been in there and then come out to watch the warm-up. In previous games he’s been there in a hoodie and a big jacket, but it looked like he was doing some fitness work,” Gold said.
Don’t risk it
While it would be a boost for Spurs to have another attacking option available to them this weekend against Leeds, Richarlison shouldn’t be risked for that fixture.
The attacker has the biggest month of his career coming up as he heads to the World Cup, and the last thing he needs is to be rushed back from injury and risk tweaking something befoe he heads to Qatar.
The team always comes first, of course, but in this situation, Richarlison needs to take it easy and make sure he’s ready for Brazil’s World Cup campaign.
