Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Ian McGarry has claimed that Hector Bellerin and his agent have told Arsenal he wants to leave the club this summer.
It’s been reported that Bellerin is open to leaving the Emirates at the end of the season, but now it seems as though the Spaniard and his representative has communicated their stance to the club.
Bellerin has been at Arsenal for almost a decade at this point, but it seems as though he’s keen to start a new chapter in his career.
“It is our information that Bellerin and his agent have told the club he would like to leave this summer, and in doing so, Mikel Arteta has decided ‘well if the player is not going to be persuaded to stay, not only must we replace him, but we must make the most of the opportunity’,” McGarry said.
“The first and at this moment in time most likely suitors for the right-back are PSG.”

This isn’t all that surprising to hear after the reports that he’s open to a move in the summer.
However, we have to wonder how this has come about. Yes, Arsenal are underperforming, but it’s not as if Bellerin has been a class above everyone else to the point he’s looking to sign for a club like PSG.
Belleirn hasn’t been at his best this season, with numerous pundits questioning his ability, but if he is to move, Arsenal need to work quickly to find a replacement.
Whether or not a move for Bellerin comes to fruition remains to be seen at this point, but all signs point towards him leaving Arsenal imminently.
