Hector Bellerin is apparently ready to quit Arsenal this summer, CBS Sport claims.

Bellerin has been a key player under Mikel Arteta this season, but his chances of staying at Arsenal beyond the end of the year now look slim.

The Spaniard has reportedly feels as if he is ready to move on, as he wants to spend his prime years at a club competing for honours rather than a team in transition.

While Arsenal have shown plenty of signs of promise under Arteta there is a realisation that they are a work in progress.

With clubs like PSG and Barcelona chasing Bellerin, the full-back now feels that the time may be right to leave.

That may not upset every Arsenal supporter, as some have questioned Bellerin this term.

However, Arteta is likely to feel that Bellerin’s departure is a blow to his side.

The right-back, who Arteta once hailed as ‘great’ (TalkSPORT), has been his first choice this season, and he doesn’t have any similar options in his squad.

Arsenal do have Cedric, but very little suggests that the experienced Portuguese defender is capable of playing more than a covering role at the Emirates Stadium.

Cedric also lacks the same speed an attacking thrust that Bellerin does, so signing a replacement would surely be key this summer, if the Arsenal man was to depart.
