Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will simply not sell Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah will not leave Anfield anytime soon.

The report has noted that the Egypt international forward has two more years left on his current contract at Liverpool.

And, according to the report, “Salah isn’t going anywhere this summer”.

“Salah was hurt by what happened last season, especially missing out on Champions League qualification, but he’s fully committed to leading the fightback in 2023-24,” adds the report.

Encouraging Mohamed Salah news for Liverpool fans

In our opinion, that Mohamed Salah wants to stay at Liverpool is hugely encouraging for the Anfield faithful.

Now, of course, there are no concrete rumours that Salah is on the radar of any clubs at the moment.

We know that the former Chelsea player has been linked with Real Madrid in the past.

But all those rumours about the £34 million (BBC Sport) star is in the past now.

Clubs in Saudi Arabia are doing some big business now and are being linked with top-quality players in Europe.

Roberto Firmino, who is leaving Liverpool this summer, is being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, while Kalidou Koulibaly has joined Saudi Professional League side Al-Hilal from Chelsea.

However, it seems from the report in The Athletic that Salah is fully focused on Liverpool now.

So, if some Liverpool fans were worried about any interest in Salah from Saudi Arabia, then they can relax now.
