Kai Havertz seems to be disappointed to see Kalidou Koulibaly leave Chelsea, with the forward himself strongly linked with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea have announced on their official website that defender Kalidou Koulibaly has joined Saudi Professional League side Al-Hilal in the summer transfer window.

The 32-year-old centre-back moved to Chelsea from Napoli only in the summer of 2022.

The Senegalese star made 20 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Blues last season.

Koulibaly scored two goals and gave one assist in those games.

The defender also played seven times in the UEFA Champions League, and featured in one match each in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

According to The London Evening Standard, Al-Hilal have paid Chelsea £17 million in transfer fees for Koulibaly.

The defender has posted a message to Chelsea on his Instagram following his departure, and Kai Havertz has responded to it.

The 24-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as forward, has posted a crying emoji alongside his message to the defender.

This suggests that Havertz is disappointed to see Koulibaly leave.

Interestingly, the German star himself is very likely to leave Chelsea now.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Havertz has completed the first part of his medical and should finalise his move to Arsenal this summer.
