‘Interesting from afar’: Adam Lallana has noticed something about reported Liverpool target

Writing in his column for The Times, Adam Lallana has shared something he’s noticed about Jude Bellingham amid links to Liverpool.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been linked to the Reds for months now, and he’s set even more tongues wagging this week as he posed for numerous pictures with Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, what Lallana found more intriguing is the relationship that Bellingham seemingly has with the Reds’ captain Jordan Henderson, stating that he finds it interesting how the pair interact on and off the pitch.

Henderson and Bellingham’s friendship is growing

Lallana noted how Henderson and Bellingham are interacting.

“Henderson is showing leadership. Every one of these England players has a super-strength and Henderson’s lies in his leadership,” Lallana wrote

“What has been interesting from afar is to see how Bellingham interacts with him on and off the pitch.”

“I am sure that Bellingham will have been watching Henderson around the camp and on the field and picking up on the importance of that side of the game. He will look to add that to his make-up.”

His replacement

Henderson is taking on something of a mentorship role with Bellingham at the moment.

Indeed, as he said on England’s Twitter account this week, Henderson sees a lot of similarities between himself and the Borussia Dortmund star.

“I can see it in Jude and it’s incredible to see from a 19-year-old. We’re cut from the same cloth in the way we love football and how we dedicate our lives to the game, so maybe that makes me warm to him a bit more. I can see the maturity he has beyond his years and the way he plays the game with personality,” Henderson said.

With Bellingham being so strongly linked to Liverpool, there’s reason to believe that Henderson could actually be grooming a future teammate, and potentially an eventual replacement here.

This is certainly one to keep an eye on, as we’re sure Henderson is having the odd word with Bellingham about coming to Anfield.
