Rapper and Grime artist AJ Tracey says James Maddison was ‘insane’ for Tottenham Hotspur during his unofficial home debut against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday.
Tottenham put five goals past the Ukraine side with, none other, than Harry Kane scoring four goals and stealing the headlines once again, at least this time it’s for what he is doing on the field.
Even teenager and academy product Dane Scarlett got on the scoresheet with a very well-taken stoppage-time goal – he was praised by a Tottenham transfer target.
Whilst those players got the headlines, including Ange Postecoglou making his first appearance in front of his home crowd.
James Maddison is slowly cooking in the corner and proving why he was snapped up from Leicester City this summer.
Tottenham’s official Instagram account asked ‘How good was this man today?’, with Spurs fan and rapper AJ Tracey writing in the comments section ‘insane’.

Maddison will wow the Tottenham crowd
It has been a while since a Spurs midfield player has been able to lift his own supporters off their seats.
Perhaps Rodrigo Bentacur did it last season, prior to his injury, but he is a very different player to Maddison.
The England international has that wow factor to his game, the ability to connect play with everyone on the pitch and score those wonder goals.
You can bet your bottom dollar that he’s going to be doing a lot of that in this forthcoming campaign.
