Antonio Conte is seemingly on the brink of taking over at Tottenham after a whirlwind 24 hours for the north London side.

Just minutes after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked, the Italian manager was on a plane to London as per Gianluca Di Marzio. And Conte could be confirmed as Tottenham’s new at some point today.

Indeed, Conte was who Spurs wanted in the summer. And now with the former Inter Milan coach taking the helm, Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy have one of the best, but also one of the most hot-headed, managers in world football.

Change likely won’t come overnight. But for some players at Tottenham, the arrival of Conte could be what is needed to rejuvenate a poor start to the season. And for Dele Alli and Harry Kane, the pair are perfect for the Italian to work his magic on.

In a now-infamous interview with Sky Sports, Conte revealed that he would ‘prefer to kill’ a player with a bad attitude or poor behaviour.

And for Alli and Kane, this could give them the kick they need to reignite their form.

Conte revolution at Tottenham must start with Alii and Kane

The two players have each scored just once in the Premier League this season. With Kane’s form in particular a key reason why Spurs have started the league campaign in such woeful fashion.

After all, Spurs currently find themselves with a goal difference of -7. And for a side looking to qualify for Europe, with the UEFA Champions League now seemingly possible under Conte, this simply can’t fly.

Kane is one of the best strikers in world football. Yet under Nuno, the attacker played a style of football that far from worked to his strengths. Indeed, Conte must work on getting the forward to his best form, as with Alli.

The 25-year-old midfielder is one of the most talented players at the club. And if Conte can restore Alli’s attitude to that of the Mauricio Pochettino years, then Tottenham will again have one of the biggest threats in the league from deep on their side.
