Granit Xhaka has returned to training with Arsenal after isolating in Switzerland.
The Gunners posted a short clip on their official website of the first-team at London Colney ahead of this weekend’s huge Premier League clash against Burnley.
And in the video, Xhaka is spotted amongst the rest of the senior squad in training. The 29-year-old midfielder tested positive for COVID-19 whilst on international duty with Switzerland.
As a result, Xhaka had to isolate himself in his home country before flying back to London. The midfielder will be unavailable for the next two games following a three-match suspension after seeing red against Manchester City.
With Arsenal winning their first Premier League game over the weekend, the absence of Xhaka was no issue against Norwich City. Albert Sambi Lokonga started alongside Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the midfield.
Thomas Partey is also back to full fitness after suffering an ankle injury over pre-season. And with Xhaka close to leaving Arsenal in the summer, some fans on social media are not happy to see him back in training.

The midfielder played a role in their 5-0 loss to City in August. And fans are already worrying that Xhaka will once again commit an error when he returns from suspension.
