Leon Osman has hailed ex-Everton forward Richarlison and how he has taken his ‘incredible’ form from Goodison Park to Tottenham Hotspur, as he told Premier League Productions (15/10/22 at 5:20 pm).
The former midfielder added that ‘you just can’t help but love watching’ Richarlison in action, whether he is donning Everton colours or now that of Spurs.
The Brazil international started Tottenham’s 2-0 win over his former club on Saturday evening, but he was forced off injured in the second half.

Richarlison actually going off the field helped his side because an extra midfielder was brought on – Yves Bissouma – and that freed up Son Heung-min and Harry Kane to cause havoc.
Nonetheless, whilst Spurs picked up a valuable three points, Richarlison also went off injured, as reports from ESPN Brazil stated that he ‘cried a lot’ in the dressing room.
From his perspective, he will be hoping, ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, it’s just something that is a lot less worse than what initial reports suggest, as Osman shared his thoughts on the player.
“I wish he wasn’t playing (against Everton),” said Osman. “He’s been incredible and had been incredible for Everton. In some of his performances last season, he single-handily kept Everton in the Premier League.
“He’s the type of player you can’t help but love to watch as a fan because he is all action. He gets about the pitch. He’s non-stop. He never stops running and closes people down.
“He wanted to play from the wide areas. He publicly came out and asked mainly from the right. But Everton needed him to play through the centre, because Calvert-Lewin was injured, and he stood up.
“But also, he creates opportunities for teammates. Clinical in front of goal. Tottenham have got themselves a really good player. One that is full of confidence.”

RICHARLISON IS AN INFECTIOUS CHARACTER
One of the best things about Richarlison’s style of play is how infectious his character is towards others.
For the opposition, he might wind up other players and fans for how he might go about things, from going to ground too easy or doing kick-ups when his team are winning away from home.
But, one thing is for sure, given his goalscoring threat, ability to make something out of nothing and aggression without the ball, he is a player every fan would love to have in their team.
And, hopefully, from Richarlison’s point of view, his injury isn’t too bad because, both Brazil and Spurs need him during these coming months.
