The former Tottenham star has said that he hopes that Pochettino returns to Tottenham this summer.
Speculation has been rife that Spurs want to rehire the Argentine, who has been in charge of Paris Saint-Germain since January 2021.
The Sun reported on Friday night (10:30pm) that Tottenham want to start talks with PSG over Pochettino on Monday.
The Argentine is reported to be keen on coming back to Spurs, who sacked him in November 2019.
Goal has reported today that Pochettino has asked PSG to cancel his contract.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas said on BBC Radio 5 Live on Friday that it shocked him last year to hear from Pochettino how much he wanted to return to Spurs.
Pochettino is absolutely loved by the Tottenham fans, who would welcome him with open arms.
The Argentine reportedly telling PSG that he wants to leave is certainly good news for Spurs.
It will be interesting to see how PSG respond to Pochettino’s request to have his contract terminated now.
If the French club accept it and are willing to accept a compensation fee from Spurs, then it could see Pochettino return to Spurs within days.
