Jose Mourinho has raved about Tottenham Hotspur-linked Romelu Lukaku in The Sun.

The former Tottenham head coach has been impressed by the evolution of the Inter Milan striker.

Mourinho worked with Lukaku at Chelsea and Manchester United.

La Repubblica reported this week that Antonio Conte would want to bring Lukaku with him to Tottenham if Harry Kane leaves, as covered by HITC Sport.

Mourinho told The Sun: “They have lots of creation and Romelu Lukaku is a goalscorer with incredible evolution in two years with Inter Milan.”

Lukaku is one of the best strikers in the world.

The Belgium international would be a brilliant signing for Spurs as a potential replacement for Kane.

The 28-year-old scored 24 goals and gave 11 assists in Serie A for Inter this past season.

The striker scored 23 goals and provided two assists in the league during the 2019-20 campaign.

However, it does seem unlikely that Lukaku will join Spurs, especially after talks between Tottenham and Conte reportedly broke down.

Inter won the Serie A title this past season and will play in the Champions League in 2021-22.

Tottenham could not even finish in the Europa League places.

Now, of course, Tottenham are a massive club and are very ambitious, but Lukaku is 28 now.

The Belgian is at the top of his game, and, especially without Conte, he may not be inclined to move to Spurs, who are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
