Pogon Szczencin director Dariusz Adamczuk confirms that Kacper Kozlowski is ‘in talks with an English club’ amid interest from Premier League giants Liverpool, in quotes reported by Radio Szczencin.
Few would give Graham Potter’s side a hope in hell during a transfer tug-of-war between Brighton and Hove Albion and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
But don’t rule out the South Coast Seagulls just yet.
Brighton have a history when it comes to fighting off elite-level competition for a fresh-faced Ekstraklasa starlet, beating Manchester City to the signature of Michal Karbownik last year.
The highly-rated Karbownik moved to the Amex in a combined £14 million deal with fellow Pole Jakub Moder.
And, according to reports coming out of Poland, Brighton have offered a further £8 million for Kacper ‘the new De Bruyne’ Kozlowski.
That is £2 million less than the fee put forward by Liverpool, however, with the battle expected to intensify ahead of the January transfer window.
Is Kacper Kozlowski joining Liverpool or Brighton?
“Nothing is a foregone conclusion but it will be very hard to keep Kacper,” admits Adamczuk.
“We are fighting for him to stay with us but it might be hard.”
The ambitious, self-confident Kozlowski, who’s been encouraged to stay put by none other than Robert Lewandowski, has scored three goals and four assists for Pogon this season, forcing his way into the Polish national team set-up.

“I don’t want to cheat Pogon Szczecin fans,” Adamczuk adds. “We are in talks with an English club.
“I think that, by making this choice, Kacper went in the direction that it would not be a top club. That he would have a chance to play in the strongest league in the world.”
‘Not a top club’ you say. Is that an indication that Kozlowski has chosen Brighton over Liverpool after all?
