According to Jeunes Footeux, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Spurs are keen to bolster their midfield this summer, and they’re apparently looking into a deal that would see Gueye return to the Premier League.
The midfielder has previously spent time at both Aston Villa and Everton, but it’s at PSG where he’s established himself as a star.
Indeed, Gueye has become a Champions League regular in Paris, and he’s even earned the seal of approval from a Spurs favourite – Mauricio Pochettino.
What has Pochettino said about Gueye?
The Argentine is Gueye’s current gaffer at PSG, and after a game against Clermont Foot last year he was singing Gueye’s praises.
“He [Gueye] is an important player in the balance he gives the team, he also scores goals now,” Pochettino said as quoted by GalsenFoot.
“Happy because what he does during the week in training is quality. He has been with us since the start of the preparation even if he had a stop with the Covid-19 and that he lost a little time.”

Seal of approval
As many Tottenham fans may attest to, if a player is good enough for Pochettino, he’s good enough for Spurs.
The midfielder is proven at Premier League level, and if he’s been good enough to impress Poch, he’s surely ready to be a star at Spurs.
Who knows? Perhaps he’ll even work under Pochettino at Tottenham. After all, rumours of Antonio Conte’s departure continue to circulate and if reports are to be believed Pochettino could be set for a return to north London in the coming months.
