Some Liverpool fans are buzzing over their capture of Bobby Clark.
The Reds announced via their official website on Thursday that they had signed the 16-year-old from Newcastle United.
Clark is an attacking midfielder and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reported to have personally convinced him to join [The Chronicle].
In doing so, Klopp has yet another exciting teenager on the books, having signed Kaide Gordon from Derby County this year and who could forget Mateusz Musialowski, the ‘Polish Messi’ who has been dazzling with the youth side for much of 2021.
Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted to their capture of Clarke:
Clark was very highly thought of at Newcastle, evident by their fans’ anger over learning about the deal.
Liverpool are certainly building a stable of very exciting teenage stars.
And it’ll be fascinating to see how Clark fares with the academy boys – like Gordon and Musialowski – this season.
In a few short years, they could be making waves in the senior side because 18-year-old Harvey Elliott also joined Liverpool at the age of 16.
And tomorrow, the former Fulham gem could start against European champions Chelsea in a Premier League game.
Elliott’s rise has been immense, thanks in no small part to a loan at Blackburn Rovers last term.
