Well, Jude Bellingham to Liverpool is certainly a credible transfer rumour.
Despite starring at the World Cup and hiking up his own price-tag in a massive way, the speculation about Jurgen Klopp winning the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder isn’t going away.
This week, Christian Falk of Bild revealed on Twitter [via HITC Sport] that Liverpool were actually favourites to sign the 19-year-old England sensation.
Problem is, now Paris Saint-Germain are seemingly in the race.
At least, that’s certainly what their president hinted at in midweek via Sky Sports.

And former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes that Bellingham may be simply too expensive for Liverpool now, predicting that a richer club will more than likely wind up beating the Reds.
He told talkSPORT: “I am amazed that the agent of Bellingham didn’t put a release clause in there because as we know, the less the transfer fee, the more the player is going to receive in benefits for his particular contract.
“So I’m amazed that they’re in this scale of things, but clearly they are. That might well exclude and preclude Liverpool from the equation. Because if you’re getting into £150m, there’s probably one club that he would go to that would be prepared to pay that, and that would be Manchester City.”
Jordan is contentious as a pundit but unfortunately for Liverpool supporters, he is quite often spot-on – and he probably is here, too.
Despite the constant rumours about Bellingham going to Merseyside, you cannot escape the figures.
And if this player is worth £150 million then how exactly do the Reds fund such a massive-money investment, particularly when the odds of them qualifying for the Champions League – and thus maintaining a big revenue stream – is tenuous to say the least?
It would be heartbreaking for Liverpool to miss out on the player but, you have to say, Jordan may be correct.
