Robbie Fowler has claimed that Sadio Mane has been Liverpool’s ‘standout player’ this season.
The Anfield legend added that he is a ‘big fan’ of the 30-year-old, who scored 16 Premier League goals for Liverpool this term.
Mane didn’t finish top-scorer because that belonged to Mo Salah, who won the Golden Boot for the 2021/22 campaign, alongside Heung-Min Son.
It’s some forward line Liverpool possess and one that Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to unleash at its fullest when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Nonetheless, this is what Fowler told Premier League Productions (22/05/22 at 7:15 pm) about Mane.
“I am a big fan of Sadio Mane,” said Fowler of the £34 million star. “I think he has been unbelievable this year. He has gone from strength to strength.
“Winning the Africa Cup of Nations, getting his team to the World Cup and scoring mega, mega important goals.
“For me, he has been the standout player. I love watching him play.”

DIAZ, MANE AND SALAH TO START THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL?
After the conclusion of the Premier League season, Klopp will now be focusing on the Champions League final in Paris.
Will Thiago Alcantra be fit? Will Fabinho be ready for the biggest game of their season?
Either way, one area of the pitch that answers itself, is the forward line and that’s starting Luis Diaz, Mane and Salah upfront.
The trio, well since Diaz’s arrival, have been out of this world and Madrid will have to do well to stop them from scoring.
