Meslier is not part of the Leeds matchday squad for their Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion at Elland Road this afternoon.
Kiko Casilla, who was criticised for his performance against Crawley Town in the FA Cup last weekend, is in the starting lineup for the Whites.
Meslier is the first-choice goalkeeper for Leeds, and he has sent a message on Instagram regarding his absence today.
