Dimitar Berbatov has predicted how the match between David Moyes’s West Ham United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will pan out.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that there will be three goals in the London derby at London Stadium this weekend.

So, what has Dimitar Berbatov said about West Ham United vs Arsenal? Let’s take a look.

Dimitar Berbatov backs Arsenal to beat West Ham United

Well, Dimitar Berbatov has predicted Arsenal to win against West Ham United this week.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker thinks that Mikel Arteta’s side will beat David Moyes’s team 2-1 at London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The pundit has noted that West Ham are an unpredictable team, adding that the Gunners simply have to win the London derby.

Berbatov has also explained why it is good that Arsenal are playing on Sunday and not on Saturday.

Manchester City will take on Everton at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon before Liverpool’s match against Burnley at Anfield.

Arsenal, City and Liverpool are the three main contenders for the Premier League title this season.

Berbatov told Metro: “Depending on which West Ham team turns up for the game, they can cause the opposition trouble or they can give the opposition space to score goals.

“The only thing Arsenal need to do is win because they’re waiting on Liverpool and Man City to make a mistake. This is why it’s good play after your rivals sometimes, so you know exactly what you need to do.

“They’re watching you on TV, you drop points and the whole team is like, ‘okay guys, now is the time to catch up to them’. It will be a tight game, but I’ll go for Arsenal.

“‌Prediction: 1-2.”

My View: Arsenal will win London derby

In my opinion, Arsenal will win against West Ham United at London Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Arsenal have the better team and are in better form. Yes, the Hammers are at home for the London derby, but I do not see that affecting Mikel Arteta’s side at all.

The Gunners have won their last three Premier League matches. West Ham have won just one of their last five league games.
