City, who have won the league title for the past three seasons, are second with 49 points from 22 games. Pep Guardiola’s side have won their last five league matches.

Arsenal, who beat Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium this past weekend, are now third with 49 points from 23 games.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are the three strongest teams in the Premier League, and Ian Wright believes that one of them will be the winners of the title despite Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur not being far behind.

Arsenal legend has said that he would love the Gunners to win the league, but he thinks that City are the favourites for the championship and has outlined the reasons why.

Wright said on Premier League Productions when asked for his top three: “I am going to go Arsenal, City, Liverpool because that’s what I want, but you can’t.

“It’s silly really simply because of City, their experience, the fact that they have got everyone fit. It would be silly of me to say, as much as I want it to happen, you still have to say City probably will win the league.”

My View: Manchester City will win Premier League title

I am backing Manchester City to win the Premier League title this season. The Citizens, who won the UEFA Champions League last season, are in top form now and have star players Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland back from injury.

Yes, Arsenal and Liverpool are going to make it tough for them, but City have some world-class players, such as Ederson, Rodri, De Bruyne, Haaland and Bernardo Silva, who have been in this situation and know how to win major competitions.
