
Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after they were linked with a move for Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard.
The attacker lit up Euro 2020 for Denmark, perhaps most memorably netting a wonderful free-kick against England in the semi-finals, and now Leeds want to sign him.
The 21-year-old is on Leeds’ radar, but his current club aren’t keen to sell him right now, with an offer of over €30m (£25m) reportedly being required to sign him this summer.
Leeds have a number of quality wide players, but it’s hard to argue that Damsgaard wouldn’t make the Whites even better than they currently are.
At the age of just 21, he has a lot of room to improve, and in years to come, £25m could end up looking like an absolute snip.
As you can imagine, Leeds fans had plenty to say after seeing this rumour, and it’s fair to say that they were excited by the prospect of signing Damsgaard.
