Manchester City have only made one signing this summer and that was bringing in Savinho from their sister club Troyes, a name already known to the club’s fans…their second signing is set to be another familiar name.
HITC confirmed on Monday that Ilkay Gundogan and Barcelona were ready to part ways, following lengthy talks over the past few weeks, which saw him not involved in their opening game of the season against Valencia.
Sources revealed to HITC that Gundogan had been inundated with offers but he had quickly narrowed down his preferred options…and that was either a return to Manchester City with Pep Guardiola or a switch to Fenerbahce with Jose Mourinho.

Manchester City are Gundogan favourite option as talks advance
Talks have continued in recent days between Barcelona and Gundogan’s people which have resulted in the Spanish club agreeing to let him out of the club on a free transfer despite the fact he has 12-months left on his contract.
Sources have now confirmed that talks are advancing with Man City, who are emerging as firm favourites to reunite with the 33-year-old German star, who only left the Etihad last summer following a hugely successful seven-year spell.

Guardiola has wasted little time in sanctioning his return to the club’s hierarchy, who are now deep in conversations about the make-up of a potential deal.
Talks at an advanced stage as agents arrive in England
Talks between Gundogan’s representatives and City are now at an advanced stage, to the point where they are in England to finalise the terms of a possible deal.
It is believed the discussions are currently over the length of contract for Gundogan, but it is believed City are open to the make-up of a deal whether that be a one-year with an option or a two-year term also with an option.
HITC is told that offers that Gundogan has received from elsewhere, including Fenerbahce and the Saudi Pro-League, would be far in excess of what he could and will get from City but finances are not playing any sort of part in his decision.
