Speculation is rife that Arsenal will be signing a Tottenham Hotspur target.
According to BBC Sport, the Gunners have agreed a fee of around £21 million with Brighton & Hove Albion for a certain Leandro Trossard.
Earlier in January, The Athletic claimed that Spurs had seen a £12 million verbal offer turned down.
And this, when it goes through, will be the second time Arsenal have beaten their North London rivals in the space of a week.
Mikel Arteta’s side secured the bragging rights last weekend by securing a 2-0 win away to Tottenham.

This time, the Premier League leaders are about to beat their neighbours away from the pitch.
For only an extra £9 million, it would appear that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici could’ve succeeded in their Trossard chase.
Low-balling has cost Tottenham in the past on an array of targets and it’s disconcerting that it’s still happening, in 2023.
Clearly Arsenal are only moving for the Belgian attacker – who has seven goals and three assists in the Premier League this season – as a result of missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk.
But for them to get it done so quickly, despite Tottenham seemingly leading the race, sums up the difference between both sides right now.
Whether it’s on the pitch or off it, Arsenal have their house in order a lot more than their North London rivals.
