Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has been discussing James Ward-Prowse after his incredible free-kick at the weekend.

The midfielder scored yet another stupendous set-piece for Southampton against Wolves, and, as you can imagine, his wondergoal led to more speculation around his future.

Ward-Prowse is undoubtedly one of the best players outside of the top six, and Wright believes that he’d be well-suited to a team challenging for the Premier League title.

In fact, Wright has tipped him for a move to Liverpool.

What’s Wright said about Ward-Prowse?

The pundit gave his view on the midfielder.

“I love him. I think that a Premier League winners’ medal wouldn’t go amiss round his neck. He’s somebody who has the energy to carry that, easily. He’s someone that in a title run can come to the fore,” Wright said.

The Arsenal legend went on to tip the midfielder for a move to Liverpool.

“You can almost see James Ward-Prowse, if Milner wasn’t in and around Liverpool, he could easily slot in at Liverpool and in that kind of vibe.”

Makes sense

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Ward-Prowse has been touted with a move to Liverpool.

Indeed, Garth Crooks tipped Ward-Prowse for the exact same transfer earlier this week.

Liverpool reportedly looked at the midfielder in the summer, so perhaps a move could be revisited in the future.

Ward-Prowse is well on his way to becoming a Southampton legend, but he certainly has what it takes to be an absolute superstar at Liverpool or another big club.
