Fabrizio Romano has said on The Arsenal Lounge that Arsenal could sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer transfer window.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has said that Arsenal are happy with Aubameyang at the moment.

However, according to Romano, if Arsenal get a big offer, then the Gunners could decide to sell the 31-year-old Gabon international striker.

Romano said The Arsenal Lounge: “To be honest, I think that he is one of the players that with a good proposal – and when I say good, it has to be an important proposal, not just good – I would say an important proposal, he has chances to leave.

“But, at the moment, I am told that they don’t consider the player as a problem, let’s say like that. If something big happens, they are open, but if not, the player Is 100% staying, and they are happy with him.”

The Telegraph reported this week that there are murmurs that Arsenal could sell Aubameyang.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker had a rather tough season at the Gunners, and there were also disciplinary issues.

The 31-year-old made 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners this season.

Aubameyang scored 10 goals and gave three assists in those matches.

The striker also scored three goals and gave one assist in eight Europa League appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side this past season.

However, Arsenal should keep faith in Aubameyang.

The 31-year-old is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League. One bad season does not change that.

So, even if Arsenal get a big offer, they have to think carefully about selling the Gabon international.

Signing a suitable replacement might not be easy or cheap.
