New England Revolution striker Adam Buksa said he is keen on securing a January move to Europe, amid interest from Premier League outfit Leicester City, while speaking to Kanal Sportowy.

Yes, it was only San Marino.

But the history books will show that, during the September international break, Adam Buksa scored his first ever senior hat-trick, in a World Cup qualifier no less.

Three well-taken goals during Poland’s 7-1 thrashing over the perennial whipping boys of European football took his tally to 14 for the season already. That is an impressive run from a striker who, without any hint of hyperbole, can consider himself to be in the form of his life right now.

It is understood that Leicester City scouted Buska during Poland’s 1-1 draw with England last week, ahead of a potential January bid for a late-blooming centre-forward who’s been plying his trade on the other side of the Atlantic since swapping Pogon Szczencin for New England Revolution nearly two years ago (Sport).

Is Adam Buksa heading to Leicester City?

“After two years in the MLS, it will be a natural step to come back to Europe,” Buksa said when quizzed about Leicester’s interest.

The 25-year-old has also been linked with an out-of-sorts AS Monaco side.

“I would like it (the transfer) to happen in January. I do not have my dream club or a dream league.

“This is my goal for the coming months. I want to go somewhere where I will have a chance to play regularly and to make progress.”

The question is, would Buksa ‘play regularly’ at the King Power Stadium?

Patson Daka, Leicester’s new £23 million signing and the so-called ‘next Thierry Henry’, has only played 26 minutes of Premier League football since moving to the East Midlands, stuck behind Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho in Brendan Rodgers’ pecking order.

Would Buksa really swap his talismanic status at New England to risk becoming Rodgers’ fourth-choice at Leicester?
