Richard Dunne has given his verdict on which team between Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are a bigger threat to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are the three teams aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
Liverpool, who beat Nottingham Forest this past weekend, is at the top of the table with 63 points from 27 matches.
City, who have won the league title for the past three seasons and beat Manchester United in the Manchester derby this past weekend, are second with 62 points from 27 games.
Arsenal are third with 58 points. They have played 26 games. Mikel Arteta’s side will take on Sheffield United away from home in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Richard Dunne comments on Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City
Former Manchester City centre-back Richard Dunne believes that Liverpool are a bigger threat to Pep Guardiola’s side than Arsenal in regard to the Premier League title.

When asked BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast which team is a bigger threat to City’s chances of retaining the league title, Dunne said: “I’d imagine Liverpool. They’ve got a really good flow going at the moment, they’ve got a lot of confidence and their squad has suddenly got a lot bigger because of the emergence of the younger lads.
“The game [between Liverpool and City] on Sunday is going to be amazing, but I just think it’s brilliant for the Premier League to have the three teams involved in it. It’s going to be a really good battle between now and the end of the season.
“I look at City and every time they play a game, I think they’re going to win it. They’ve got some tough fixtures coming up, but the experience and the know-how will hopefully stand them in good stead.”
Exciting Premier League title race
I think that the Premier League title race is hugely exciting. I believe that it will go down to the wire.
Manchester City are in ominous form. They have won four of their last five Premier League matches.
However, Liverpool are back to being a force to be reckoned with. Jurgen Klopp is leaving at the end of the season, so the players must be hugely determined to win the Premier League title in his final campaign.
Arsenal have not been as exciting as they were last season, but they are a more mature team. The North London club have conceded only 23 goals in 26 Premier League matches this season.
In my opinion, City will win the Premier League title this season, but I am predicting Liverpool and Arsenal to take the race to the final day of the campaign.
