Ian Wright has perfectly summed up Arsenal‘s victory at Leeds United.
The Gunners ground out a hard-fought 1-0 win at Elland Road this afternoon, with Bukayo Saka’s first-half opener enough for the Premier League leaders to stay top of the division.
It was a fascinating contest and even Arsenal supporters will agree that there was a degree of good fortune to beating Leeds.
Patrick Bamford had a goal disallowed in the second half, missed a penalty and at the death, had another spot-kick overturned following a VAR check.
The North Londoners really had to hold on to preserve their lead against an intentful Leeds side.

You need a degree of good luck to win Premier League titles and who knows, perhaps Arsenal will look back on this victory come May and believe that it played a massive role.
Overall though, Mikel Arteta’s side are simply looking exceptionally resilient this season and even without the good fortune at Elland Road, they still might’ve found a way to win.
The Gunners have so much more character about them now in comparison to the 2021-22 campaign, when they finished outside the top four by a point behind Tottenham Hotspur.
